Penned into Legend

he's got looks that
books take pages to tell

if they penned him into legend
no doubt they'd mention the curve of his brow
compare his eyes to the ocean
or maybe to the evening sky.

they'd mention how his cheek
dips and pulls a bit
when he's cross, and how he
tightens his lips 
while he's reading. 

he has told me he hates the way
his nose turns up at the end
maybe that's why we all find it adorable
maybe he's trying to
draw our attention to it.

one day he'll meet someone
someone who loves him so much 
she'll write
a book describing him
and then you'll be able to see him
just like me. 

because writing prompts make me happy. especially when they include photographs of Benedict Cumberbatch.
