We've been watching Emily most afternoons (and some mornings) for the past week, and one morning I decided to teach her to bake. I'd been dying to try making "Reeses Peanut Brookies" and Emi was more than willing to make them with me. She helped measure out all of the ingredients; she poured them into the mixer, and she happily turned it on and off. Out of the bowl and into the muffin tins went the chocolate chip cookie dough (she helped with that as well), although an equal amount went straight to our tummies, and then we unwrapped the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and placed them upside down on top of the dough. Then we poured brownie batter on top of them, which Sam had made for us, and then we baked them. Emi pulled the stool up to the oven and sat, watching the cookies bake for 10 full minutes. Seeing as she's a barrel of never ending energy this was quite amazing. I had so much fun, and we ate so much dough, and everyday since Emi asks when we can bake something again. The answer is most definitely soon.
Most definitely soon.
